Mission & Vision

Our Vision: A thriving Columbia County committed to building resilience in children and families thereby improving overall community well-being.

Our Mission: Increase cross-sector collaboration, strengthen capacity of organizations and promote community awareness to prevent and heal childhood trauma and build resilience in children and families for a healthier Columbia County.

What does the network do?

  • Implement trauma informed and resilience-building strategies and promote the adoption of trauma informed care across sectors and services.
  • Facilitate the integration and coordination of trauma informed care across systems and organizations in our community.
  • Work across sectors to bring together trauma informed care and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) champions from the community.
  • Raise awareness and understanding of ACEs, trauma informed practices and resilience-building efforts across systems and organizations throughout the county.
  • Develop a common understanding of the way in which trauma, chronic stress and adversity affect brain development, individual behaviors and children’s capacity to learn.
