Workgroups

CTIN Sector Workgroups bring together the strengths and resources of community members, service providers and experts and work to:

  • Share lessons and provide peer-to-peer support and information
  • Implement trauma informed and resiliency building initiatives from the CTIN Strategic Framework that support their service population
  • Engage in shared learning and collective efforts to better understand the science of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and resilience and how to apply it in each sector and in communities.

Sector Workgroups report to the Steering Committee and are charged with implementing strategies from the CTIN Strategic Plan Framework, engaging community members and tracking progress towards goals.

There are a total of six Sector Workgroups, one per target sector. Sector Workgroup members possess functional expertise, work in the target sector and/or are committed to reducing childhood trauma and building resilience in their community. Network member organizations invite new Sector Workgroup members to join. Two co-chairs lead each Sector Workgroup. Wherever possible, Steering Committee Members co-chair a Sector Workgroup. Sector Workgroups provide regular progress updates to the Steering Committee. The Sector Workgroups consist of not more than 20 people.
